3 years of Be A Money Blogger and shocking truths about me

Sit down on this trunk of tree. Just sit down and open your book.

Seemed to be a poor guy but behaving like a landlord. He murmured and sat on his chair. He was my teacher of one class.

This was the only memory I have of my first day in school. I had to sit on a trunk of chopped tree with other students for five years.

It was a small village Kunri near the Pak-India border of desert of Thar. It had a population of 5000 and its only school didn’t have chairs or benches for students. Its teachers were barely educated.

money bloggerMy medium of learning was Urdu (national language of Pakistan). So I didn’t know about English or its single alphabet till I passed my class fifth that’s called primary level.

How people behaved with me?

I was very sensitive those days and still I am. I used to look at mirror and thought why my skin color was dark. While most of the other students’ complexion was quite fair. I also wondered why in my family no one had as dark complexion as mine.

So just to avoid listening comments about my color I tried to stay at home after coming from school. I developed the habit of staying more at home.

So it helped me a lot to work from home as an online marketer. I don’t even slightly feel any need of going outside home and many times remained in home for two to three months.

Now I do know complexion or appearance has nothing to do with the personality of a person. But my childhood sensitivity developed the habit of living alone which I couldn’t have gotten rid of.

More Shocking Truths About Mi Muba

Bitter memories of past and money blogging

Once I saw on Facebook a blogger was cursing any relative on doing some excesses on her. I thought if bitter memories of past could also be one of the reasons why many bloggers avoid taking bold decisions to become successful.

Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards

Money blogging requires investing

It is actually fear of failure that stops many to take bold decisions.

Many profitable but equally costly products are introduced by big companies to grow your blog. But not everyone has courage to try them and they lag behind those who picked such products by investing their money.

But the question is why many people are afraid of taking any bold decision. While a few take it after a little thought. It is the main reason many bloggers just blog and a few become successful as well.

Two years back I was not aware of a UK blogger Shaqqir Hussain but now you can find him everywhere. He is sharing his massive income reports and many top bloggers are his friends. His ads are everywhere. It also proves that now just freemiums are not enough to make you successful.

Right decision at right time

It means now you can’t defend your slow growth by calling it your cautious approach. Staying so much cautious in this fast field of blogging can make you just another blogger. Here one has to take a right decision and at right time as well.

money bloggerFor example it is likely that simply text-based blogging be replaced with visual blogging in near future. Now we jump to a video post or infographics because we know we can learn from it more in lesser time. While we bookmark text posts to read them in our free time.

Be adaptive to change

If someone still glues to writing text contents and not ready to look into diversifying them what does it mean. He has to completely overhaul his content plan once it becomes so difficult to market your brand with text contents only.

Forget the past and look ahead

So to excel fast in blogging you have to forget about your past if something bad happened to you. We need to look ahead and leverage our past to improve our present.

Forget it. Be it your personal past or professional one. Now it is must to adopt a forward-looking approach to compete in this most competitive market.

Just a little courage is required

I can speak to a big crowd for hours while in my childhood I used to fumble while talking to anyone who I met first time. But by and by I overcame my shortcomings. Now I can speak English easily and can write despite receiving my basic education in a non-English language.

Actually it is our madness (not desire) to do something in any way that helps us to improve ourselves faster. Especially in blogging self-contentment means you would achieve success after a long time or just be another blogger.

Things change. And friends leave. Life doesn’t stop for anybody.

If we move slowly towards our goals many trends would change meanwhile. So we have to revise our strategy after an appropriate interval. Else we would just be looking at those reaching the ending point of the race.

Adopt a rational approach

It is better to adopt a medium pace while blogging and don’t follow the herd instinct. Everyone has his own pluses and minuses. A method best fit for him could be a big blow for someone else.

For example a year or two ago guest blogging was one of the most effective ways to achieve blogging success. But now it is just a support to be popular and nothing more than that.

3rd anniversary of Be A Money Blogger

money bloggerBe A Money Blogger has completed its 3 years on 4th February. Usually it is said that three years are sufficient to build a successful blog. But in my case I remained focused on my other blog and here couldn’t have published huge amount of contents.

Now I will publish a post as and when I finish it. May be one or two or even three in a week. Or sometimes maybe once in a month. Lolz

Your guest posts on Be A Money Blogger

From now I also accept guest posts that I was not accepting because of time constraint. As you know sometimes one has to spare a lot of time to review a guest post and discuss with its writers to make it more perfect.

PS: You all are invited to be with me here as guest of honor and send me your post by clicking the guest post section.

Diversity is must

BTW I am also seriously thinking to record videos and post them instead of writing long posts. So I am planning to build my video setup in near future.

Created a few products but……

One thing more. Two years ago I slashed my posting frequency by publishing fortnightly instead of weekly. I did this to create my own product. I couldn’t have created the one that I can release.

Though I have created a few ebooks. Unfortunately most of them are just another product. Such products are already in market so I don’t think they would make any difference.

So I am planning to share them as a series of posts on my blog and will offer a few of them as an incentive to my email subscribers.

Affiliate marketing is on my plan

I would also give affiliate products a try to sell them here. I have started searching all such products that really can solve the problems of my valuable readers.

Thank you so very for supporting me and never making me feel I am alone in this journey. I am especially thankful to all my commenters who gave me valuable advices off and on to further improve my contents.

I insanely want to hear your story of blogging. Do share it here with all of us to make us learn more.

I hope you would also reshare this post on social media with your friends and colleagues.

  1. Hi Mi,

Wishing you and your blog a very Happy Blogiversary 🙂

I can imagine how it feels, having been in that stage, and one’s seen many come and go, but the ones who stay on are the ones who have something consistent in them I’d say, and they are determined as well, isn’t it?

Loved the little lessons you shared with you, and yes, our pasts makes us who we are today, I also believe in that. 🙂 One can imagine the scenario as you described it so well (try your hand at life lessons kind of blog posts also!) – as you have those skills and talent for sure.

We look forward to seeing guest posts on your blog – more the merrier, as I also believe everyone has something to share, and we are all learners on this Earth, isn’t it? More so, you’d have a little time in hand to work on what’s more important on your list as well.

Wishing you every success and happiness in years to come. 🙂

    • Hi Amar

Appreciate your thoroughly going through the post and commenting on one of the main points that happened to my past life.

Actually those days I was so sensitive because of my tender age and I do believe what you are saying but that was the innocent phase of my life when such tiny things were so important to me.

I can resonate with your story. It’s hard to stand alone in the middle of this competitive world which is surrounded by experts.

It requires courage to build your own empire for a non-native English speaker like you and me.

    Have a successful career ahead.

  7. Hey Mi Muba,

It’s good to hear a little more about you.
Yes friends come and go, especially here in the blogosphere. We both have seen many bloggers venture into other opportunities which is great.
Then there’s those that stay stagnant because of fear. Im glad that it didn’t effect you since I’ve seen you grow as a blogger.
I might take you up on the guest post offer. Though I’m quite busy, I hope to write guest posts after I set everything in place on my blog.

Thanks for the share! Have a great weekend!

You are right we saw many who were quite active in blogosphere but now entered into some other fields and it’s awesome.

This was my problem as well that owing to workload I couldn’t have looked into guest posting but now made my mind to guest post at least once on other blogs. I do insist you try to guest post at least once in three months to get more connect in addition to your blog’s outreach.

I am so happy to hear your encouraging words and firmly believe good days are not far away.

Have a fabulous weekend my friend.
